"To be able to honor him this weekend and let all the students see his picture on the car, and have select students actually have their handprints on the car, and write a small message on it, it’s really cool,” Gase said. “We’ll be turning a lot of heads at the speedway.”

Thanks to Jonathan Romero and team nearly 75 boats participated in the 5th annual Hampton Roads Sunfish Challenge and Dinghy Distance Race. Despite capsizing while beating back up wind, Peter Patnaude won the Tyler Patnaude Memorial Award. Peter has particpated 4 consecutive years. Tyler won this event during their first year participating together, also a race in which Peter capsized!
RICHMOND, Va – Yvonne Patnaude shared a preview of the inaugural Boats and Bowties Memorial Regatta & Gala, in honor of her son, Tyler, who passed away in April 2014. The event will include dinner, music, live and silent auctions, and more to raise funds for the Tyler Patnaude Foundation, which will partner with the United Network for Organ Sharing. The event is Saturday, July 25th with the Regatta at Greater Richmond Sailing Association from 12pm to 3pm and the Gala from 6:30pm to 9:30pm at Celebrations at the Reservoir, located at 4801 Woolridge Road.
